Mardaani 2 is an upcoming Indian 2019 Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Gopi Puthran and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. It is a sequel to the 2014 film Mardaani and features Rani Mukerji reprising her role of Inspector Shivani Roy. The story follows Shivani who goes up against a 21-year-old villain (played by Vishal Jethwa).
Plot: Police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy, a marathi married to a bengali, goes up against a young, and ferocious man who goes on raping and murdering women. How Roy catches him, is a tale of thrill and mystery. Roy represents that women are as powerful and women police work no less than their male counterparts.
